Newport Beach, CA, April 14, 2011 -- A report published by the Government of Canada and Allergy/Asthma Information Association found that the number of people affected by soy based allergies ranks in the top ten amongst all known allergens. Although most who suffer from soy allergies outgrow the allergy by the age of two, about 1% of all American adults still suffer from soy based allergies. Most experts believe this number will grow in coming years. The study also found that avoiding all products that contain soy, soy traces or soy derivatives was the only reliable prevention approach.
Regarding the study, Chino Valley Ranchers President Steve Nichols said, “Soy allergies can be a serious issue, especially for families with young children, who typically experience reactions until around age two.” Nichols continued, “Our soy free egg helps parents give their children the lean protein eggs offer while avoiding allergic reactions that can be mild, to quite severe and potentially dangerous.”
