Portsmouth, NH – Dr.Lawrence Gray of Atlantic Plastic Surgery Center has been selected by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals (IAHCP) as the top plastic surgeon in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Dr. Gray will be spotlighted in the renowned publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. The IAHCP highlights and profiles the world’s top plastic surgeons. The Association has been designed to showcase physicians that have demonstrated success and leadership in their profession and have provided an opportunity to network, collaborate, and share information with other medical professionals around the globe.
Dr.Gray has provided guidance to the plastic surgery profession by inventing a more beneficial method of breast reduction using liposuction for patients. Dr. Gray’s method has brought relief to patients around the world from painful symptoms of oversized breasts. He has performed more than 1100 cases to date with this virtually scarless method of breast reduction, avoiding the 12 inches of scarring from the traditional method. Because Dr. Gray is the originator and has the greatest amount of experience, he has been asked to give presentations on his procedure at numerous educational meetings at the both the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has also shared his knowledge on Scarless Breast Reduction by teaching other surgeons on site at his facility when those physicians have requested his time and have traveled to learn from him.
Dr.Gray has shown leadership by making numerous humanitarian efforts to foreign countries, to repair cleft lips and palates on thousands of children and adults who would not otherwise be able to obtain this care. Dr. Gray has gone to Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Viet Nam 9 times through Rotaplast, Interplast and Medical Missions for Children and, at this writing, is in Guatamala on another such trip.
Dr.Gray has carried out the mission within his own professional plastic surgical practice of providing the highest quality care to patients, improving their appearance and self-esteem. He has consistently maintained the same high standards of safety at his facility as required at hospitals and has often been used as the standard for his state.
Dr.Gray received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from Indiana University. He did his surgery residency at Boston University Hospitals and his plastic surgical residency at Loyola University Hospitals in Maywood Illinois near Chicago. He began his private practice in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1985 and opened his own private surgical facility in 1998 in Portsmouth. Dr. Gray ahs been featured in many articles in local newspapers and television channels in New Hampshire and Boston Massachusetts.
