"Legacy PC suffers number of security threats in our processing and dealing environment as national stock exchange data provider. We have chosen Stickfish as a VDI solution supplier for very high level of desktop security requirements and HA."
Regular user PCs suffer from a number of security risks, and security plays an important role in the activities of the stock exchange operator. Employees who process stock exchange data need to be equipped with ever more sophisticated means of data protection.
„Legacy PC suffers number of security threats in our processing and dealing environment as national stock exchange data provider. We have chosen Stickfish as a VDI solution supplier for very high level of desktop security requirements and high availability desktop solution,“ said Mr. Miroslav Prokes, CIO of Prague Stock Exchange.
The Prague Stock Exchange is aware of the risks which is why it has opted to secure selected sites using the VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technology from VMware. The solution, which provides not only an extreme level of protection but also high availability, was supplied and integrated with the rest of the infrastructure by Stickfish. Stickfish has a lot of experience and know-how in the area of VDI which is evidenced by the more than 1500 virtualized desktops it has deployed for companies such as ČEPS, KESA/Datart, Pragoprojekt, and others. The infrastructure providing the virtualized desktops was supplied by Stickfish together based on IBM products. It uses, for example, storage solutions from the DS3500 storage series and fully redundant x3550 servers. The supplied infrastructure will also serve as a platform for the virtualization of the Prague Stock Exchange's servers.
