Morton Bagot, Warwickshire (August 12, 2010) – Sherwoods Photographic Ltd, one of the UK’s Premier Optical Specialist retailers, are proud to announce the arrival of a new product: the Celestron VistaPix 70, a high-quality spotting scope and digital camera in one unit.
The new camera features a 3 megapixel, 70mm digital camera spotting scope, with 14x magnification and a 2” LCD screen. There is also a 6x digital zoom and a digital focus meter, designed to allow a faster and sharper focus, as well as a continuous video capability; any videos or images can either be stored on the camera’s internal memory, or an SD memory card, and then watched back later through a TV or computer via video cable. The camera can be placed onto standard camera tripods or even Celestron computerized mounts for greater accuracy, which eliminates the risk of unwanted movement or vibration when capturing an image or video.
