Charlotte, NC, April 30, 2011 -- Renowned makeup artist Jami Svay, along with assistance from Folicle Salon, will be responsible for the hair and makeup at the runway presentation of Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2011 collection the Mint Museum Auxiliary’s Art of Style gala at the Mint Museum Uptown at the Levine Center for the Arts on April 29. Svay will also offer a behind the scenes peek of the event on her "Right Off The Runway" YouTube channel.
“I consider it a huge honor and career milestone to work with Mr. de la Renta, one of the world’s pre-eminent designers, and his team” says Svay. “I am passionately committed to creating the perfect hair and makeup to complement the runway presentation of his Fall 2011 collection. “I’m also excited to offer a sneak peek to the many people who are intrigued about what goes on behind the scenes at a premier fashion show.”
Svay will post her video from the event by May 15 on her "Right Off The Runway" YouTube channel at http://www.YouTube.com/user/ASvayProduction. Every month, Svay rolls out a new segment showing her audience how to achieve the look from the hottest runway shows including Versace, Dior and Betsey Johnson.
