Physician Compare, an online tool created by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, provides detailed information about physicians and other health care workers to assess quality.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s My Blue Services provides simple, easy-to-access online tools that helps members get the best care at the best cost, including:
Care Comparison, which provides cost and quality information for elective procedures. Members can access this tool on-line or review the information with a nurse over the phone or in person at one of the Florida Blue Retail Centers with locations in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa and Orlando.
Pharmacy Comparison, available through a mobile web site accessible from any smartphone including the latest Blackberry, iPhone, Droid and even the iPad, lets members access and compare drug costs at local pharmacies even before they leave the doctor’s office with a prescription in hand.
