The two winners - Kate Bainbridge (owner of Simply Flowers in Devon) and Caroline Crabb (of Fleurtations in Cornwall) - were presented with a Silver Gilt and a Silver respectively, in the Florist of the Year category. The florists had never competed at the show before, and had never even attended, yet their winning parasols were deemed two of the best from thirteen on display, and were allowed to meet with the assessment panel to receive feedback, and perhaps even valuable tips, should they choose to enter next year’s event.
