Experts favour taking the test in the middle of the test window. “You will get the idea of the actual experience of the new pattern from those who opt for the first few days. Also, you will get to know the question type and the paper analysis if you choose the mid slot,” mentions Gautam Puri, Vice Chairman, Career Launcher.
Similar suggestion is shared by Varun Saxena, NITIE student who had scored 99.38 percentile in CAT 2009. He says, “I would suggest you to take it during the second half of the CAT exam window. So, that by the time you take exam, you are aware how the pattern is as well as about the technical issues people are facing, if any.”
