Datapath Technology Used in Europe's Biggest TV Talent Shows

Derby, United Kingdom (23 August 2011) - Datapath, a leading UK-based professional graphics and image specialist, reveal that across Europe, a myriad of pop concerts, stage musicals and televised singing competitions are using Datapath technology in their set design.
TV talent shows Idol (a Swedish reality talent show and Part of the global 'Idol' franchise) and Eurovision, in addition to the creators of Swedish musical 'Sugar - I Hetaste Laget' and the organisers of the annual Nobel Prize presentation dinner in Stockholm, have all used Datapath's technology and expertise to execute their events and shows.
Datapath's VisionRGB-E2, VisionRGB-PRO and E2 DVI capture cards were just some of the innovative technology used amongst these high-profile shows and events.
Stockholm-based Brownsblend AB, a specialist solutions provider for concerts, touring, TV and corporate shows, was responsible for video design and direction on Idol 2010. Brownsblend works in partnership with fellow Swedish company, Beacon by SSR Stagelight AB, which specialises in providing design and technical solutions for all kinds of events. SSR/Beacon is also the exclusive distributor for Green Hippo's Hippotizer media servers in Sweden.
Company owner Peppe Tannemyr explains: "For Idol, two Hippotizer HD media servers were deployed, both fitted with VisionRGB-E2 capture cards from Datapath for the system and back-ups. The unit was used for sending camera images and other video sequences to the screens."
Mr Tannemyr also comments on the use of Datapath's x4 display controller in Eurovision 2005 in Kiev; Eurovision 2007 in Helsinki; and Eurovision 2008 in Belgrade: "Datapath's x4 display controller is very fast and easy-to-use. It gives us high functionality for a good price - overall, a great product."
