Gaga’s Challenger Alisa Apps May Now Gag Interscope’s Latest Creation
The word on street from LA’s rumor mill is that, Lady Gaga’s promoter, Interscope has purloined Alisa Apps' song “Soon You’ll See!” to jumpstart the career of one of their new artists.

Some months ago Alisa Apps challenged Lady Gaga to a national televised sing-off with a prize of $1 million. The challenge was covered rather extensively in the media including Billboard Magazine, MTV, Australian television and many national and international and international blogs, and magazines. Gaga never took Apps up on the challenge.
Alisa Apps is an independent artist, who writes and records her own material and has so far personally financed her own singing career; and it’s been a struggle! She penned the song “Soon You'll See!” to reflect her life’s struggles and rejections but with the hopeful result that she will eventually succeed in her chosen profession and confound her doubters --truly an anthem for anyone who wants to stand up against those who don't believe, and to pursue their dreams.
“Soon You'll See!” was to be the first single released from her album “Tears of Red.” It has been available to hear on her website http://www.alisaapps.com/ .
Los Angeles is the second most populous city in the US after New York but in the entertainment industry is probably the closest knit, gossipy “town” on the planet. The word on street from LA’s rumor mill is that Jimmy Iovine of Interscope, Lady Gaga’s promoter, is that not only would they not pick-up Alisa Apps’ “Gaga challenge” but they have purloined “Soon You’ll See!” and also stolen from her stage persona to jumpstart the career of a new, male Interscope artist.
How much of this is just noise and hype no one yet knows, but Apps’ camp is taking it seriously and has said “We will pay $1,000 to the first person that calls in and correctly identifies the rip-off when it appears” or as Alisa Apps might say in her own words own words “Soon, we’ll see.”
