Italian coffee with a bittersweet amaretto flavour
Flavouring coffee has become very popular in a world where the coffee industry is huge, and expanding steadily. There is pre-flavoured coffee, and syrups that add both flavour and sugary sweetness.

Amaretto is one of the four flavours for coffee that is being launched under the brand name Aromhuset. The other flavours are chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut. Each of the four flavours is unique, with Amaretto definitely being the most distinctive of the four.
Amaretto is an Italian liqueur made from almonds. Amaro means bitter, but the liqueur is made from a combination of bitter and sweet almonds, sometimes with a touch of peach added. In addition large amounts of sugar are added during the production process, so even if there is a weak bitter undertone Amaretto is primarily sweet tasting.
Aromhuset's amaretto is a completely alcohol-free flavour and not a liqueur, but the taste associated with the liqueur is still there in the essence. It is a refreshing and slightly tart flavour that is unmistakable, and for those that like almonds it is a real hit.
Aromhuset's coffee flavours contain neither sugar nor artificial sweeteners, so are not even slightly syrupy. On the other hand they are rich in taste and give coffee a real lift. Each flavour is very different from the others so a taste suitable for everybody is guaranteed.
The flavours are an excellent alternative for those trying to live a healthier life while still enjoying a variety of flavours and different types of coffee. They work equally well in both regular filter coffee and the more advanced coffee drinks.
Each small bottle contains 30 ml of essence, which is enough for 15 cups of coffee according to the recommended dose. Dosing is simple using either the cap from the bottle or the accompanying pipette. Two ml of essence, or 2/3 of a capful, is enough to add rich, full flavour to a normal sized cup of coffee. Amaretto has a very distinctive flavour, so may even need a smaller dosage.
These delicious flavours can be used in other ways, e.g. desserts or milkshakes. That they are free from sugar means both dieters and diabetics can enjoy them without unpleasant consequences, and should you miss the sweetness it is easy to add a little sugar yourself - simple!
Aromhuset already has a successful line of essences for water, which are also completely calorie free. The company behind the success is Gert Strand AB, and its founder Gert Strand is looking for new resellers for these innovative coffee essences. Strand, who has been in the industry for many years already, believes that coffee essences will be at least as popular and well-liked as the essences for carbonated water.
Coffee has gone from being a natural, if somewhat uniform, part of our day to a regular trend with everything that involves - increased selection, accessories, training and even competitions in how to make the best coffee. There is interest in everything from the size of the coffee beans to brewing time and which sort of milk is more suitable for which coffee. Aromhuset's coffee flavours are the latest addition to the coffee world.
