Ellen Gerst became a widow in 1995 at age 39 when her 41 year old husband took his life. To heal herself, she began writing about all the issues she faced as a young widow. Ellen transformed her thoughts and research into her first book, A Practical Guide to Widow/erhood. Her newest book, Love After Loss: Writing The Rest of Your Story, deals with the complexities of finding new love after the death of a spouse.
