Will Atkinson works at the restaurant set up by Jenson Button and other co-founders, all whom are passionate about great food. Will is a front of house Victus team member. Read on as Will describes his typical working day at Victus Restaurants in Harrogate.
I work, full time, at Victus as part of the front of house team, serving at the counter. I cycle into work each day, I appreciate keeping fit and it helps energise me for a busy day at work.
Our first duty is to run through the menu and take note of the soup of the day, the milkshake of the week and any other special offers or promotions we have.
With my freshly ironed apron on, I'm ready to greet our customers and make sure they have everything they need to make their time spent with us enjoyable.
I love great food and I'm proud to sell all the items on our fantastic menu.
Our handmade, fresh cut chips topped with our very own chilli con carne and cheese is my secret weakness at the moment. Although, it's always a challenge to choose between our burgers or the Chicago style Dogs, which are so moorish.
As the day winds down I start to restock the displays with cold drinks, chocolate and snacks.
After closing we have a full clean over the restaurant's three floors and I'll clear down the counter area, ready for a fresh display the following day.
