More and more photographers are offering two wedding photographers as a part of their wedding coverage plan. But are they really needed and are they worth the cost? Wouldn't they be obtrusive? How do we determine if they really complement each other? Miami wedding photographers, Gabriella and Oliver discuss the benefits of hiring two wedding photographers, and also clear some of the doubts regarding the issue.
"Firstly, don't hire two wedding photographers just because it's the trend this season, and everyone's doing it. Two photographers are better than one, but it also depends on who you hire. For instance, Oliver and I are proficient in our respective niche, and we make sure that the client gets the benefit of both our styles," says Gabriella. Gabriella and Oliver own Ciel Bleu Photography and specialize in wedding photography. Oliver has years of experience in fashion and beauty for international companies, and certainly knows how to make people look their best. Gabriella has travelled the length and breadth of Europe, China, Japan and India and developed her skills shooting journalistic photography. This destination wedding photographer has a great eye for candid moments.
"Our association is sure to give the best of both worlds; while one adds an artistic and distinct style to the photographs, the other can capture all those special moments and emotions that passed unnoticed. As for the argument that two wedding photographers can be obtrusive; the opposite of this is true. It is physically impossible for one person to be present in two places. A single photographer would have to run everywhere around the ceremony to ensure that every little detail is captured. Two photographers can cover the event in detail, with less movement. When one shoots the expression of the groom as the bride enters, the other can shoot the reaction of the father of bride as he walks his daughter down the aisle," says Oliver.
"But it is essential that both the photographers are competent, established in their own niche, and most importantly they are accustomed to working with each other. If they aren't accustomed to working with each other, the end result would look clumsy. When hiring the photographers, check if there is a genuine camaraderie between them," adds the Florida wedding photographer.
