Future Energy Solutions, a leading provider of components and engineering solutions for solar power and alternative energy, has announced the immediate availability of Small Solar Panels from Sharp, including the LR0GC02 module for mobile devices with a thickness of 0.8 mm, the industry's thinnest.
The LR0GC02 is a 67.5 x 41 x 0.8 solar cell module with 4.5 V Power Voltage-Max [Vpm], 65 mA Power Current-Max [Ipm], and 300 mW Power-Max, available in tray packaging. This newly developed solar module uses compact semiconductor packaging technology to achieve a thickness of just 0.8 mm, the thinnest level in the industry. The solar cells are based on polycrystalline silicon, delivering a maximum power of 300 mW. The electrode pattern on the cell surface can be formed to meet the requirements of device manufacturers, leading to increased design flexibility for mobile devices.
"The use of solar energy continues to grow by leaps and bounds, not only in residential applications such as Home Area Networks (HANs) but also for powering mobile devices," explained Richard Ankcorn, Strategic Business Manager for Future Energy Solutions.
Also available is Sharp's LR0GC11 is a 65.5 x 41 x 0.65 solar cell module with 5 V Power Voltage-Max [Vpm], 78 mA Power Current-Max [Ipm], and 390 mW Power-Max, in box packaging.
