Youth Golf Network; an organization that provides golf instruction to youth to build self-esteem and offer a positive influence to children, is currently seeking business executives and community members to fill positions on its advisory council.
Members of the Advisory Council will serve as critical community champions for the organization. They will provide services that enhances YGN's overall mission in helping youth. YGN is looking for members with professional expertise, perspectives, and connections to local, national and international resources. The Advisory Council does not have a governing function within YGN but is there to provide a creative voice and philanthropic endeavors.
"The Advisory Council was created to enhance our goal of reaching out to the community and improving our overall mission," said YGN President and Founder Jeanette Ortegon. "It will give YGN much-needed assistance and support."
Advisory Council members are selected by the YGN Board of Directors, and can serve up to three one-year terms. Advisory Council members can attend board meetings, but they may not vote at those meetings. YGN is looking to fill at least three positions and would be willing to accept up to seven council members.
