SendThisFile®, Inc., an industry leading online managed file transfer company, helps customers receive large files on their websites using a powerful FileBox service extension technology.
Personal and business email platforms typically reject any email file attachments larger than 25 megabytes, creating a bottleneck for companies who rely on file transfers for their day-to-day business. SendThisFile offers a solution with FileBoxes, which can be placed on websites to receive large files that exceed typical email attachment size limits with customizable website integration.
A FileBox securely transfers an uploader's email address, message, and files of any size to a SendThisFile account. To place the FileBox onto a webpage, SendThisFile generates copy-and-paste HTML code. A FileBox is included with each SendThisFile account, including free accounts.
When FASTSIGNS®, an international visual communications solution company, needed to receive electronically transferred graphic files from customers in over 530 locations across 8 different countries worldwide, they used FileBox technology from SendThisFile to collect and sort large files to each physical location. "SendThisFile technology enables us to handle over 2.3 terabytes of data and more than 14,000 file transactions per month, without the need for additional corporate staff to facilitate the program." said Gary Feltham, FASTSIGNS Senior Vice President Business Development
FASTSIGNS contacted SendThisFile to build a tailored web service on a dedicated server to handle and distribute the file traffic load, and combines SendThisFile's flexible API to pass unique software parameters to a FASTSIGNS database, enabling a granular view of a customer's transfer status down to the file level, for every FASTSIGNS center. "[Using FileBox technology], we are able to keep in sync with our customers' needs, reducing time spent processing file transfers." said Brian Boehm, FASTSIGNS Technical Services Manager.
The SendThisFile solution provided a consistent delivery of transferred files and simplified the management of inbound files for improved productivity at both the corporate headquarters and individual center locations.
