November 22, 2010 - PARKER launches its spectacular Write Big event a celebration of the written word through cutting edge technology.
PARKER's Write Big event is a dynamic exchange inviting the public to share their messages online atframing their thoughts with the question 'What if?'
Whether topical, philosophical or simply personal, entrants have until 30th November to make their submission, then a panel of industry experts will narrow the entries down to the best 30 Write Big messages.
On the evening of December 7th, the winning messages will be projected by hugely innovative 3D video mapping onto the exterior walls of New York’s iconic Museum of Arts & Design. This groundbreaking display of technology has only been experienced a handful of times around the world so far.
In addition, a single overall winner will receive a trip to NYC and a Parker Premier Black Edition pen. A historical connection between New York and PARKER is key to the brands iconic design, the trademark PARKER feathered arrow clip was created in 1932 by famous NYC artist Joseph Platt.
In conjunction with the Write Big event, the New York-based PARKER Pop Up Holiday Shop, located in front of the Museum of Arts and Design, will be opening from 4th November until 31st January 2011; an innovative concept celebrating modern writing alongside the brands 122 year cultural heritage and displaying 2010 collections including the PARKER Premium ranges (Urban, Parker IM, Vector and Jotter), Sonnet and newly launched Parker Premier Black Edition.
After the winning messages are projected at the New York celebration, participants will be able to view the spectacular display of light, sound and visuals online at and other social media sites.
Entries can be submitted from October 15th until midnight of November 30th GMT. Countries eligible for entry are as follows: France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Peoples Republic of China, Poland, Russia, Spain, UK and USA.
