My day always starts with a warm smile from the morning regulars, heading off to work; choosing Victus as their first port of call, for breakfast and a hot drink, helping start their day properly.
At lunch time the pace changes, we get a more diverse mixture of customers coming through the door. The range of lunchtime options varies from freshly made sandwiches, ready to go, to our own beef burgers or a hearty soup and bread roll. With this selection and more, we have something for everyone, even if they only fancy a hot drink and a cake.
If I am not serving at the counter, I will be running food. This is always a pleasure, as I get to see the look of delight when the customers receive their meal, or respond to their comments about it looking delicious. Passing this on to the kitchen team is great and they feel their efforts have been appreciated as well.
As the afternoon winds down, there is more interest in the cakes, muffins or scones as options to delight. Our customers are more leisurely at this time of the day and they can spend quite some time deciding what to choose. Some do come back and try something new each day.
Although we do love to see our regulars, we enjoy introducing our menu to new people that have discovered us. Then we can dazzle them with our superb coffee, delicious tray bakes and mouth watering food.
