What you need to know about Medical Marijuana
- Medical decisions should be made by doctors and patients. Many doctors have found that medical marijuana can help people who are sick and suffering from HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, cancer, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis and other ailments. Yet, politicians have made it a crime for doctors to recommend marijuana to their patients -- they can lose their medical license and even go to jail.

- Medical marijuana is now legal in 23 states and the District of Columbia.
The Petition for medical marijuana was signed by over 1.1 million people in Florida and is now on the ballot as Amendment 2. This is NOT a legalization of recreational marijuana and is ONLY for people who have debilitating diseases and conditions.
