Sunshine Mountain Vineyard, winner of the San Diego Union Tribune's award for "San Diego's Best 2011" for best San Diego county winery, has just published a highly-anticipated new e-book entitled "The Winemaking Process Revealed - The 5-Step Process to Creating a Delicious Wine." This beautiful, full-color new e-book provides a step-by-step illustrated guide to anyone who is interested in creating their own high-quality wine.
The e-book kicks off by discussing the grape harvesting timetable in great detail, how to assess grape ripeness, and when the grapes are ready for crushing and mixing. It addresses the proper acid levels and pH levels. Then it goes on to explain the proper pressing and fermentation processes (including maloactic fermentation), racking, filtration, and bottling methods.
"We're always pleased to entertain guests at our winery, and more than anything else we are frequently asked about our wine-making process," said Ed Kruger, owner of Sunshine Mountain Vineyard in San Diego. "So finally we decided to work hard on creating our own e-book which outlays the process step-by-step, complete with graphs, interesting tidbits, illustrations and photographs."
