The Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) being organized by Google India this Dec’10-12 will see some of the country's top property portals and developers including Realtycompass, Tata Housing, Godrej Properties, Puravankara Projects, Brigade Group, and Mahindra Lifespaces participating.

And consumers get to evaluate projects online through master plans, floor plans, ebrochures, and videos. To buy a home, they would need to pay a booking amount online through a credit/debit card or through online bank transfers; the remaining part of the transaction would be done offline.
GOSF, in its third year, is aimed at boosting the adoption of online shopping in India and typically sees companies offer discount deals for a period of 72 hours.
Google India estimated that last year GOSF received 2 million users. Rajan Anandan, MD of Google India, said, "The consumer confidence to shop online has grown considerably in the last 12 months, boosting the growth of both large multinational and homegrown companies." He said that a recent report by the company showed that the e-commerce sector in India would be a $15 billion industry in the next two years.
