University crime stats spark a rise in burglar alarm installations in Leeds
Recently published university crime stats have led to an increase in burglar alarm installations according to a Leeds security company

EDT Security Solutions Ltd., Leeds-based experts in home security, are experiencing an increase in enquiries as a result of recently released information on crime rates in Leeds.
A study has used police figures to measure crime rates in a three-mile radius around university campuses and sadly Leeds University and Leeds Metropolitan University have been shown to have the highest levels of burglary.
The rankings have been produced by the Complete University Guide and provide what is the most detailed breakdown of crime figures around universities. David Tilford, Director of EDT Security Solutions, said: "We've been installing domestic alarms in Leeds for many years but have recently had a big increase in the number of enquiries from customers living in the Headingley, Hyde Park and Burley areas.
"These are areas of Leeds close to the universities so naturally they're places where students choose to live. It's understandable for parents to want to make sure that their kids are living in safe and secure properties - I know I would."
