The First Responder Awareness Level Training is basically required by those who are employed to work swiftly for protecting people when they are in danger. These training courses are designed to train responders to be aware of all the risks they might face before they actually face a hazardous material incident. Therefore, the government has recommended a proper training course for all those employed in this field.
Keeping all this in mind, we, at Hazwoper Safety Training, have initiated the Hazwoper First Responder Awareness Level Course along with the Hazwoper 24 hour training course. This course covers a wide range of topics associated with hazard identification at work places. A set of rules for maintaining the safety and well being of workers at work sites have been included. This course is important for all those involved in Hazardous material operations.
The whole course has been divided into four different categories for the convenience of the trainees. The categories and their sub topics are as follows:
1.Regulation Outline, which widely covers the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120. This basically deals with the various hazardous waste operations and emergency response procedures.
2.Hazard Identification, where the trainees will be taught about the different biological and chemical hazards that they face at their workplaces. All the potential dangers that the workers may come across and the preventive measures against these dangers, will also be taught.
3.Site Characterization, which is important when workers are working at a new site. They may never know what dangers are lurking there. Therefore, a proper hazard analysis is important.
4.Site Control is a program that will reduce the exposure of public and employees to the various types of hazards that they may come across at a work site.
