With four games currently in development for release in the new year, Kwalee's Art Department are working more than flat out lovingly crafting art for our eager audience. The standard is set to a very high level as the Farm Fighters teaser art amply demonstrates. As a result of the sheer volume of work and the quality demanded, Kwalee are actively looking to expand their production capabilities with the addition of contract artists.
Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, gone are the days of companies having to retain all their employees within one building. The Art Department are looking to outsource work to talented artists to work from home on Kwalee's current projects and others that are in the pipeline. The core skill-sets we're looking for are in 3D modelling and texturing, ideally in Maya, animation and some illustration and vector art. We've also got a space in our hearts reserved for an exceptional UI artist if there's one out there!
Kwalee's head of art James Horn explains: "As a creative studio we have many exciting games in development at once. To allow us to support our talented code teams with all the assets they require we're looking to build a flexible network of freelance providers who can help provide top quality, game optimised artwork for use in our games."
It certainly is exciting times at Kwalee HQ right now; at a time when many companies are winding down for the holiday season, Kwalee have gone into overdrive, again showing their dedication and consistency in this ever changing market.
Any artists out there across the globe reading this and wanting to get involved can contact us and submit their portfolio using the artoutsource@kwalee.com email address. Please note that applicants for the advertised job role will also be considered for this freelance work.

About
“I’d love to work in games, but I'm not sure in which area yet. I'm enjoying the testing experience and I also believe I have art skills that I could develop into a career. I’ve always been a big fan of Halo, so designing a successful character like Master Chief would be amazing.” Jessie and John Darling have been assiduously testing Kwalee’s next game release, Pussy Flip, available on the Apple App Store next week.
