New Website offers in-depth information and resources for those interested in the field of Social Work. SocialWorkPrograms.org covers an array of topics including social work degrees, continuing education, licensing, avenues for scholarships and mental health topics. With a focus on expanding the traditional view of the field of Social Work, Dee Cohen, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), created the site to fill in the gaps between the expanding field and the lack of awareness among the general population.
“Many people are interested in working with others in a counseling capacity; and often are lost in whatis entailed in earning a degree in this field as well as the day-to-day life of a practicing therapist. This site is intended to be a resource for those who are ready to take the next step and begin a new journey in a rewarding field,” Cohen said.
The website covers a host of timely topics – stress, depression, anxiety – and progressive new practice focuses, such as Oncology, Hospice and Forensic Social Work.
To ensure that those interested in the field are able to pursue their passion, this site is filled with a bounty of information on scholarships including Scholarships for Single Mothers and even some the overlooked and hidden jewel scholarships. The site also delivers beneficial information concerning school programs and course work.
Not satisfied with just filling the site with information for those in the practice, Cohen created this site also as a resource for families who may be in need as well encouraging them to seek help somewhere to learn more about depression and anxiety problems of a loved one.
