The History of the O2
Originally, the O2 was a train depot and was later transformed into a set of buildings containing offices and factories. It rose to fame when the musical sensation U2 recorded some of their videos for the album ‘Rattle and Hum’ in this location. It was later converted into a concert venue known as The Point some time in 1988 attracting a number of international acts, not to mention musical award shows. In 2008 it was renovated and renamed the O2. As its popularity grew, so did the business around it.
