Noah Howell, along with Brother Jonah, is one of the original Powderwhores. For the last decade of his life, Noah has been incessantly committed to skiing powder, wherever it may be found, to captivate audiences of all kinds. Noah recently renewed his commitment to his fans, by deciding to revamp his blog, which serves as an online outdoor adventure hub… covering the latest updates on the ‘powder’ block, gear reviews, video content, up-to-date blog posts of ski mountaineering, involvement in ski film production, behind the scenes tales and footage of the ski movie scene, and many other of his outdoor expeditions, on and off the snow.
He and his brother Jonah Howell have managed to capture this never ending hunt for some powder adventure by establishing their very own ski movie production house – Powderwhore Productions. Based out of the Wasatch Mountain of Utah, they have directed, produced, shot and edited, skied, travelled, marketed, shipped and toured with their ski film of different genres. This is evident from all their recorded works at their website http://www.powderwhore.com , on the Powderwhore company blog, and on Powderwhore TV ( http://tv.powderwhore.com ).
“When there isn't deep powder to ski and film I like getting out for adventures to new zones and pushing my personal limits with mountain projects that inspire me,” says the very jubilant Noah. He further adds, “I started Noahhowell.com a few years ago to record my experiences for friends and family. Much has changed in the past 2 years and I'm now getting funding and support for these adventures. So it seemed like time to clean up my website. Working with WebItDesigns.com, we have recently organized and updated the entire blog and I'm excited to re-launch with this new look.”
Noah has been much recognized in the field of ski mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and ski film production which has landed him prestigious appearances in Couloir ,Telemark Skier, Backcountry, Powder (photo annual),Skiing, Freeskier magazines and also on the cover of Powder Magazine, Nov 2010 issue.
He has also appeared in EMS, Black Diamond telemark, Backcountry.com and Mountain Gear catalogues. The Powderwhore ski movies that Noah has helped produce, and also featured in, are PW05, PW06, PW07, THE PACT, FLAKES and TELEVISION. He has built a repertoire of accomplishments in Freeski Telemark competitions and has achieved great ascending heights in his passion for snow adventure both literally and figuratively.
