iPhone App “Paris Food Markets” has been re-released with additional videos, photos and content.
Darien, CT based Mobile App Developer Quartus Technology has re-published the widely successful iPhone app “Paris Food Markets” to the Apple App Store with more videos, still photos, updated market hours of operation, and an expanded list of supported devices that now include iOS 3.0 and later.
In response to user feedback, the iPhone app was republished with the extra content. Further enhancements will be built into the app as more user feedback is recieved and analyzed.
The app was originally released only for the iPhone 4. This is because the app’s author, acclaimed film director and producer Kit-Yin Snyder shot stunning high-defination videos of the various Paris food markets. Snyder wanted to concentrate on an outstanding user experience; this is why, in order to fully appreciate the scenery and detail in the photographs, the app was optimized to be displayed on the advanced high-resolution retina display on the newest iPhone.
However, once the original app was published, both Kit-Yin Snyder and Quartus Technology were bombarded with calls requesting the app on the older model phones and on the iPod Touch.
According to Douglas Brooks, VP of Sales and Marketing for Quartus Technology, a decision was made to open up the audience to iOS 3.0 and subsequent devices. The Paris food markets app appeals to all tourists going to Paris, and we couldn’t ignore the large number of devices that this App would play on in addition to the iPhone 4. Now, the developers even anticipate a large number of downloads on the iPod Touch.
Quartus Technology re-rendered the app’s videos to a slightly lower resolution allowing the app to play on the older devices. The advantage besides opening up the app to many more users is a much faster download time when the user purchases the app from the App Store.
Mr. Brooks also mentioned other user feedback that Quartus Technology has received: “Many travelers and tourists going to Paris were unaware of the Food Markets, this App has afforded visitors to Paris the necessary information to visit these interesting locations”.
The iPhone App Paris Food Markets tells you the address of each market, the current hours of operation, and travel information. There is a convenient Dollar to Euro converter as well.
Travelers to Paris will find this app very useful and entertaining. This is a good app to research while on the airplane traveling to Paris, or while at the hotel room at night. Users have the ability to review each of the markets, and decide which ones to visit.
Due to the popular success of Paris Food Markets, Kit-Yin Snyder has contracted Quartus Technology to work on a series of Paris travel related apps.
“Paris Food Markets” was recentely featured on the “New and Noteworthy” list of the travel section onthe Apple App Store, and hit number 2 on “What’s hot” in the travel section as well.
