Kessler Creative – Growing Big and Staying Small

Born on the traditions of a family-orientated business, Kessler Creative has recently been faced with quite the dichotomy – how do you develop as a company while staying personable for your clients? As a growing marketing company, expansion is an inevitable point of their 2011 business model. However, the company’s success has been the result of 13 years of personal customer service that Kessler Creative provides each of its clients. As the company sets its sights on the future, they strive to k

Turning service into success
Founded in 1998, Kessler Creative is a marketing agency with a focus on direct mail, print, and e-mail campaigns. The company is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Dina and Keith Kessler. Centrally located in Mandarin, FL, Kessler Creative provides service throughout the nation.

Kessler Creative, A Marketing Company has enjoyed a solid, three-year sales growth. In 2008, the company ended the year with $2.7 million in sales, $4.2 million in sales in 2009, and $4.8 million in sales in 2010. In the past year, the company brought on 10 new employees bringing its total of employees to 30. Among those positions, Kessler Creative added on to its customer service, marketing and sales divisions to assist in its ongoing expansion efforts. The new initiatives have given the company the confidence to project $5.3 million in sales for 2011.

“Since I started here in 2005, we have expanded our business in ways that allow me to continue to grow as a professional and a designer without leaving the comfort of a small company,” says Creative Director Nicole Dudley.

The company attributes their success to their classic approach to customer service – no automation, no technology gimmicks, and all communication. Never will the day come where you press buttons to speak to someone for longer than you actually talk to someone.

“While technology and automation certainly have their place in the world by producing product quickly and efficiently, the personal connection to our clients is vitally important to the success of our business,” says Chief Operations Officer Dina Kessler.

A seamless blend of innovation and tradition

So what’s next for the direct mail industry leader? The company is encompassing more services focused on the growing field of online brand management and social media. From tweets and Facebook friends to business cards and direct mail, the idea for 2011 is to be a complete source for all things marketing.

“It’s not enough anymore to provide solid print, direct mail and e-mail campaigns. We listen to our clients. When they say they want more, then we add more to our services,” says marketing and sales director Holly Amick.

As Kessler Creative grows in service and size, the company still holds on to what makes them unique. Striving to keep a personal connection with the client, they don’t intend to grow too big that the client gets lost in a limbo of phone trees, neglected e-mails, and generic contact forms.

“Were growing the right way by staying focused on service. Our customers have always been the most important to us and we’re finding new, innovative ways to provide more, do more, but still interact on the same level as we always have,” says President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Kessler.

In this ever-faltering economy, Kessler Creative has not only survived the ebbs and flows, but has managed to come out with solid financial growth. Not a small feat for a small company, but with a little hard work and a lot of customer focus, Kessler Creative’s business model is one to be desired.
