Now that Purple Studios is two months old, several projects are being executed full steam.
The young and dynamic teams of digital artists are working on many international projects. Most of these are 2D flash-based animations for e-learning projects. In fact, fifty minutes of animation are being created per month at Purple Studios at this juncture. As the client base keeps getting bigger, it is expected that the digital professionals will, at times, be working 24/7 to meet the deadlines.
Since the focus is on up-gradation of the skills of young animation graduates, several of them have been absorbed in the production teams as interns.
Apart from the 2D animations, several new 2D and 3D characters are being created as well. Purple Studios has tie-ups with animation studios and institutes for placement of digital artists.
Currently, several workshops are being organized at the Purple Studios premises.
MEDIA ACTIV, a 15-day workshop, to become a TV anchor and presenter, is being organized under the guidance of a senior TV personality Mukul Varma, who has been a presenter and producer of television shows since the early 1980s for Doordarshan, the Indian Public Broadcasting Service. He has produced and directed several documentaries and docudramas. He has hosted more than 1200 shows on the National Network of Doordarshan. Participants in this workshop are aspiring TV hosts and anyone who wishes to improve their communication skills.
SKETCH-O-MANIA, is another workshop that is being organized by Purple Studios for teaching art, given the fact that artists are constantly required for any animation production. The participants of this 12-day workshop attend classes on live drawing, still life as well as sculpture.
PURPLE STUDIOS
Purple Studios has been set up in a state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot facility in the heart of NOIDA with the aim of developing and producing animated adfilms, television series and feature films.
The primary goal of Purple Studios is to upgrade the skills of talented young digital artists to enable them to get absorbed in the production pool. Purple Studios wishes to offer a viable professional path to students with creative artistry and imagination, as an alternate or a supplement to mainstream academic higher education. Most courses require 12th Class level eligibility criteria.
