It can be difficult to remain calm when a disaster strikes. So what can a person do when something happens?

A person should take a deep breath and try to think of something positive. Remember that worrying can make the problem even worse. All the worrying in the world will not change the situation. Another option is to ask god for help and then takes things one at a time.

Challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make you fearful or depressed, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense.

Remember that no one can predict the future with one hundred percent certainty. Even if the thing that you feared does happen there are circumstances and factors that you can’t predict which can be used to your advantage. Most importantly, do not assume anything. Focus on the reality of the situation and do not let your worries and fears get the best of you.
